I am never alone/ ek is nooit alleen nie

I have had many requests for the English Lyrics for my new single "Ek is nooit alleen nie." This is the song that carried me through very hard times when i was diagnosed with cancer whilst pregnant earlier this year. For all of you who haven't seen the video, i will try and post something really soon.

So for everyone who's been wondering what I am singing about here you go:

The Lord is my sheherd

When I was a little girl, a teacher once asked us, what is the most
famous part of the Bible? I immediately answered Ps 23! She promptly
corrected me and said that it was actually John 3:16. 'It must be
second most famous then,' I thought to myself.

I have always loved Ps 23. It describes Jesus as the Shepherd, as he
is called in the New Testament. We, like sheep, are dependant on Him
for provision and guidance. When you come to know Jesus, one cannot
help but want to follow Him.

Kruismusiek 2009

If you are going to be near Klerksdorp on the 24th of October, be sure to get tickets for Kruismusiek 2009. I will be performing, along side Freda Francis and Heinz and Alete Winckler. I am feeling such an annointing coming, I believe God wants to set people free and save many of the lost that night. Bring all your loved ones!

I woke up this morning, full of energy, regardless that I was up all night with my little baby, feeding her hungry little tummy every 3 and a half hours. "Hmmm...my very first blog post! How exciting! What to write what to write?" Then it came to me:
Jeremiah 29:11 "For I know the plans I have for you" declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you a hope and a future..."

God has a plan for you! A dream for your life. And it is a good plan, full of hope! I was very surprised at the turns my life have made. If you had told me when I was 21 one that in a few years I would be a gospel singer, I would never have believed you. When God revealed that to me when I was about 24 I didn't believe Him either. It took me a while to line up my thinking with God's thinking. I tried other things first, but it never fulfilled me. Like Jonah, I tried to run away from my calling, but God patiently showed me, that in His perfect will for my life I would be completely happy. I wouldn't feel like I didn't fit or belong, if i was doing what he had called me to do.

Not all of us are called into ministry, many are called into business, engineering, real estate, teaching, art, whatever it is: I believe that there is a perfect purpose for our lifes that God custom designed us for, but our first purpose is to be a follower of Christ, a child of God. All of us where custom designed to be loved by God and to love Him back!
